Jamie was a mild mannered guy who only wanted a stable life. A job, friends, eventually a family. He is a normal man living a normal life who goes to bed one day and wakes up in Serenetia.

To begin with, he is trusting, polite and very friendly. This may change as the land tortures him time and time again, breaking down the protective barrier of his sanity.

Mason is a 6 year old boy who, like Jamie, simply went to bed one night and woke up in this new land.

Mason is the shining light in the deepest darkness. No matter what he goes through, he will always see the good in people. All he wants is a world of smiles. To see happy people going about their day.

Kimberly can be a very polite lady but she can also be very temperamental and hot headed. She is the woman every guy wants to be with. She is the woman Jamie wants to be with.

She is kind and gentle when she isn’t losing her temper, and she will always look out for the ones she holds dear.

Jonnie is a bisexual guy who is an absolutely terrible flirt. If he can slip in an innuendo, even at the most inopportune moment, he will. He does things on a whim which gets on the wrong side of many, such as sneaking into Jamie's bed in the dead of night.

He also craves love but nobody seems to want to offer it to him. He is masking a world of hurt behind those flirty words.

Toby is an openly gay male who is yearning for his lost love Dieter who disappeared one day and has never been found. He deals with this by falling in love with almost every guy he meets, but he has never met anyone quite like Dieter.

He is however harbouring a very dark, deadly secret that could tear the whole world apart.

Max is the local woodcutter. He suffers from anxiety issues and can’t perform well at all when it comes to conflict. He is however forced to join the Imperials when they are formed, so fighting will eventually happen. Can he cope with the action?

He is a loyal and trusting friend who is ready to help those in need. However, he can also read people quite well but will this become his downfall?

Glenn is a very blunt person who does not like helping others in the slightest. In his own words ‘Everyone has their own problems. They deal with theirs, I deal with my own. It’s easier that way’.

He does not mince his words and is very stubborn. Once his mind is made up, it’s very difficult to change it.

Faith has issues, seriously bad, dangerous issues, that if not stopped could become the murderer of a very loving person in Serenity.

She blames someone for the death of her husband, and after being offered to see him again, to be with him, she jumps at the chance. However, she plans to not go alone.

Abraham is the leader of the City, or is he a puppet? He runs the council of five and wants the best for each of his citizens. He knows that the prophesied one's arrival in this land means that the end of his life is close, as that’s what the prophecy tells.

He harbours a lot of guilt for a past event and can’t shake the burden of this weighing heavily upon him. He is however kind and gentle most of the time but can be angered if pushed.

Elena is an evil woman. She is cold hearted and loves to see the suffering of the citizens. She is a member of the council of five and she knows a secret that Abraham is hiding which she uses to blackmail him to do her bidding when she feels she needs to do so.

Elena is not a woman to be crossed. Even calling her by her first name could get someone killed. She is working with the dark forces from within.

William is also a member of the council of five but how he got the job in the first place baffles everyone. He has an attitude in which he simply can’t be bothered to do anything. He just wants to stay at home sipping port. If the council votes on anything, he will stick to the majority just to leave as soon as possible.

This also makes him the least dangerous, second only to Abraham, of the council members.

Raven is one of two people in this land that can wield powers. Hers is white magic. She can heal, shield, or even bring others back from the brink of death if the door to the soul has not closed.

She doesn't like helping others though, not after a certain event takes place. She can be rude, blunt, sarcastic and thinks she is above all the rest.

Tobias is the second person who can wield powers in this land. His is dark magic. It is used for death and destruction. He can also open portals to get to destinations quickly and can quickly teleport short distances.

Tobias is deadly and dangerous. He is a calm and manipulative person whose task is to claim souls to bring to the asylum for retraining. He relishes in this and if the person does not submit when the time is right, he can get very angry with murderous intent. He will claim that soul, even if he has to take it himself. If you anger him, you may as well resign yourself to death.

Demetrius, also known as The Liberator, is the leader of the old asylum, which is known as Purgatory as all who enter there know only pain and suffering. Anyone who does not give into his retraining methods turn feral and he uses these to launch very deadly attacks upon the cities. Although weak alone, ferals en masse are a force to be reckoned with.

Although not having powers like Raven and Tobias, he does have superhuman strength and if angered he will use this to decimate the body of the one who angered him.

He also holds secrets that only one other knows but neither of them speak of. It’s a secret that will tear two peoples' worlds apart. Is he truly evil or does he have ulterior motives for the pain and suffering he causes?
