About this Channel:

SerenitySoloReacts is a reaction channel on both YouTube and Dailymotion, with a Patreon set up with exclusive shows for the members. It was originally set up to help me with my mental health issues and it worked. I continued this for this reason.

The channel has been live since 2022 and, after a long break due to the aforementioned mental health issues, it is returning to be bigger, better and more energetic than before.

Old but Gold.

Are you sick of people reacting to the same content over all the differing reaction channels? Are you tired of watching the same show over and over again? Well, fear not.

I react to quite a lot of shows nobody else does. From the 1960’s to the 2000’s. I mix in the ‘overused’ shows with the less reacted to shows in order to bring a unique style to the reaction format.

Rated U, for you.

SerenitySoloReacts is an LGBTQIA+ friendly channel that does not judge others for who they are.

We believe people have the right to live their lives the best way they know how that makes them happy and comfortable, as long as they cause no mental or physical harm to others.

  • This channel is known as SerenitySoloReacts, all one word. It is a place for people who want to watch TV shows with me and see my reactions to them.

I never ever fake my reactions and all of them are 100% authentic. There will be no fake screaming, no fake tears. All of the reactions are real. I always want to be completely honest with my viewers, as the update video in the videos section shows, and want to repay their faith they have in me.

I started this channel because I have chronic mental health issues and nothing else I tried helped. I started watching British advert reactions from another reaction channel and this made me feel happy for a short amount of time, as though I was watching with a friend, and I wanted to try it.

Reacting to content helps me forget my issues for a time, a lot longer than watching someone else do it for less than an hour. It allows me to laugh and to cry, these trivial things are hard for me to do in real life. Laughing sets off my anxiety and crying just seems hard to do even though I feel the sadness deep within my body. The need to let the tears out, but not the actions. I laugh and cry a lot more at fictional things than I ever do for real life actions.

Randomness is my weakness. If something happens that I least expect, as long as it’s within context with what is happening, you may see me fall into hysterics, as I did with a certain scene in You, Me and the Apocalypse.

If you want to watch along with a kind hearted, respectable gentleman, who does not judge people, who will not mock or berate you, who is ever thankful to all those who watch his content, then this is the channel for you.

There is also a Patreon that has exclusive shows for the members there, please see the links page. Currently I have put this on hold due to taking a break but once the channel is fully up and running again, this will be reinstated. I didn’t want people to feel tricked if they joined but no new content was being added.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am authentic and never fake any of my reactions, no fake tears, no fake screams, no fake laughs. I don’t pander to the masses trying to gain views and watch what all the others watch. I also react to shows that are rarely seen on YouTube, ranging from the 1960s to the 2000’s. I also spend hours upon hours, roughly 20-50, creating specials such as anniversary specials, Christmas specials and monthly previews. Please keep in mind the monthly previews take a little less time, maybe 10-12 hours to complete.

  • I am not just reuploading the raw video with no input from myself. I have an intro leading up to the show, an outro that gives my insights to the episode, a mini review if you like, and I give all my opinions throughout the show, praise, critique, general thoughts. I totally agree that reaction content is a morally grey area, but I do not see it as stealing content, especially if the owners allow it to be used on the channel. I do wish there was a site, such as Lick’d for licensed songs, that allowed you to license shows to react to, but as of yet there isn’t.

  • No, most definitely not. Although some reactions can be uploaded without a copyright claim hitting it, this is very rare. 98% of the videos on my channel do have some sort of claim. If I think it is from a legitimate company, I will never dispute them. If I smell a rat and think it’s fraudulent, then I will. I will also reach out to the copyright owners to ask whether this is a legitimate claim, and if not then I allow their lawyers to take on the case instead. I do have some good back and forths with legitimate companies such as Little Dot Studios and I respect them for doing their job. I would never dispute authentic claims as I know that I’m reacting to something I have no rights to react to.

  • I suffer from chronic mental and physical health issues, which makes me a recluse. I can’t make real life friends who you hang out with. I started watching a reaction channel many years ago, these were British advert reactions, and it made me feel as though I was watching with a friend. I decided to try it myself and it makes me forget about my issues for a while so I continued it. I also had a viewer reach out to me saying the same, they had issues and watching my content helped them. This made me feel really good knowing that my content helps others as the other reaction channel helped me, so I 100% committed to bringing as much content as possible.

  • My end goal is to have soap operas going live throughout the week, 6 days per week, in the mornings, and all the variety content every day of the week in the evenings. All shows will run for a full season, or split into two parts if there are a lot of episodes, then switch out for another show. The more views and watchtime they get, or people calling out for it, the quicker they shall return. The only exception to this are the Friday shows which will run until the very last episode once per month, and the Sunday shows that alternate twice weekly. Ultimately, my goal is to have 13 episodes released weekly, with one monthly preview every month.

  • I have luckily as of yet not had a takedown request on YouTube (touch wood) but I have had many on Dailymotion. The biggest struggles are not knowing which shows will get what type of claim, and the fact Dropbox deletes shows after a certain period of time if they barely get views. Dailymotion never tells you the title of the show, only a link to a dead video with no information. I will be adding Dropbox links for those that have been taken down due to this. Dropbox is normally for my Patreon viewers only. There’s also a lot of trolls that find me, either telling me what the next FAQ question is or berating me for talking over the show. I have loyal viewers too though. Not knowing if any reaction can get on a platform before recording can be tough, especially when others have reacted to it, or are reacting to a show and mine gets blocked. I tried to create cut down versions of reactions for The Walking Dead for YouTube just like everyone else does, but my video got blocked worldwide, whereas everyone else is allowed to have theirs live. This can really batter my mental issues.

  • Are you really telling me that taking time out of your day to record the reaction videos, taking time to edit them together, and uploading them isn’t a proper job? It can take me up to 3 hours per reaction video to complete, before rendering begins, depending on the length of the show. I am a content creator, an editor, a PR manager and whatnot. Are you telling me these are not real jobs? If so, that means you’re telling all the other channels on YouTube, less the help and advice ones, to get a real job. The Let’s Players, cooking channels, urban exploration etc.

  • Since this channel can’t get monetized and all my limited funds have to be allocated between three channels, thumbnails for the reaction channel are at the bottom of the list for where funds should be allocated. I can’t create these myself as I have no time or talent to do so, I would have to pay for them. If I hit my goal, that is over £250 per week for these alone. I honestly can’t afford that right now. If the other channels do well enough, I will hire someone to do these, but they will have to do really well to warrant being affordable to do so.

  • Please see the channel update video for the full answer. Last year I had 3 hospital visits and had a very stressful time also. Things were really getting on top of me and making my mental issues worse. My partner has been off sick for a while and we only live in a small bungalow with no dedicated room for me to work from. I must work from the living room. I have not been able to record due to these, but after finding out people have been watching my videos more than they used to, this really made me want to return. My partner became a trainee teacher so that gave me a little time to record, and now they're off sick again stealing that time back from me. They start a new job March 2025, so hopefully I can start creating reaction videos in the days I’m not streaming, except weekends as that would be impossible due to my current living situation.

  • With great difficulty. Luckily the audio drama channel will be getting an audio engineer to help with that but that still requires a lot of work from me. If the other channels get monetized, I will then hire an editor for the gaming channel if I can ever afford it. Then I will hire more help for the audio drama too if I can ever afford that. Finally, since this channel can’t be monetized, an editor will be hired for this channel too so that will free up more of my time. At the moment, I am working from waking until sleeping, sometimes going a day without food to get things finished as I don’t have time to cook. My personal life is currently on hold until I can afford more help. Although I can get some personal gaming done on console while my laptop renders as I prefer to bulk render shows rather than one at a time.

  • Yes, and no. We do but it is currently hidden from view since no new content was coming and I didn’t want people feeling tricked into becoming a member with nothing being added. It will go live again when the channel’s fully up and running again and new content can be uploaded. You get up to one month early access to the reaction videos, depending on when you choose to watch them, exclusive reaction videos that are not uploaded anywhere else such as American Horror Story, Twin Peaks, Wentworth, You, Me and the Apocalypse, Cheers, Roseanne, Murder, She Wrote, and a whole lot more. With Dallas, Dynasty, and more to come. Tier one only has access to the monthly shows, Tier two has access to the last 12 months of shows. Tier 3 has access to the whole back catalogue of reaction videos. If enough people want it, I can add them as a members only section here too.
